  1. Pokey Aemisegger Says:

    Cherie & Todd,

I can relate to the incident with your Dad and the kids. My mom has told our grown children and nieces, to be careful with our computers. When they leave she sometimes says I hope they didn’t do anything to your computers. It is the age, and still some sense that they have controll over something. My mom was never that way! Luckily that is the only change the Alzheimers has made to her personality.

I was with my Dad when he died, his was a very peaceful passing. He was ready, he knew his heart was giving out, and mom would be with us and cared for, and he was at his home. He was able to mouth to me right before he died that he loved me. I will always be grateful to God for that.Hospice had come in for about 4 weeks, they were very helpful. I was with another loved one in the hospital, at their passiing. This individual was not as comfortable and was not able to speak. I think Todd is right, it depends on the circumstances, but we do not know how their soul is feeling, we can only tell by what the physical body language is showing us. But Cherie you are right too, you are speaking of how you know you felt, when you were near death. The physical body could say to the world, I am in pain, but the soul is probably very much at peace. Thanks for talking about this, this has helped me to deal with the second individuals death I mentioned. I think maybe I can hold on to the fact that the individuals soul was at peace.

Dean and I so enjoy listening, it’s like we are sitting right there, visiting with you. You are not dumpy and dopey! Life is always full of questions and emotions.

    Love & Prayers to all,

    Pokey & Dean
