After re-reading my comment to you, i noticed that the group I meant to refer to was http://compassionatefriends.com ". That site or group offers Grief Support After the Death of a Child. I think maybe that site has other sites that might offer support for the grieving of other loved ones, other than a child. I am sure Chantel (while at Riley's Children Hospital) has met many others that might need the support of that group. Maybe others listening to your podcasts might have more web sites to offer to those of us that are grieving the loss of a loved one.

I sure enjoyed listening to your pod cast this week. Some very interesting stuff. Enjoyed listening about the Amish community.

All of your family have been on our minds for weeks now. We are so happy that Alexandria will be coming home soon and her progression has been beyond belief. It will be great that the Paxton's will be all together once again.

Life is a mystery for sure. We wonder so much about the tragic events of our families and what purpose God had for such a tragedy to occur.

We lost a 12 year old wonderful grandson in July 2002. So we understand the loss of a loved one very much and the affects it has on the whole family. I have always felt that Jacob was in a better place, but we miss him so very much. We miss seeing him grow up. Jacob would now be 16, almost 17 next month. Jacob was such a fun loving personality, like your Alexandria. Our tears have not been so much for Jacob as they have been for our son, daughter in law and Jacob's sibley's. Imagine trying to explain the death to his siblings. It was horrible. Just imagine the affects on the family for the rest of their lives.

Our families (your and ours) have had a tremendous tragedy in our lives. We are not alone and that is why they have groups such as "Compassion Friends." People that can relate to each other over their losses of loved ones and talk about the stages of grieving and coping.

Again, we are elated with Alexandria's progress! Happy Holidays and keep your spirits up!
