Cherie, I remember when you first started podcasting. I felt for you and your loss. My thought about loss is that on day one you think about your loss fifty times a day. On day five hundred you think about it once a day, and on day one thousand you think about it every fifty days.
I have a story for you. I called to do repairs in the town I grew up in. As I knocked on the door I noticed the name was that of a Police Sergeant who cared for my Dad during his drinking sprees.
I introduced myself to lady of the house and asked after the Police Sergeant. Her eyes welled with tears as she told me that Ted had died five years before. She apologised for being teary after all this time.
My thought is that you need to grieve as much as you need to, that it’s healthy. Think of your loved one whenever you need to, Cherie.
